Privacy policy

Browsing the site requires no account and no personal details. We collect personal information in two places only, and only what you type in:

The enquiry form on the contact page: your name, phone number, the project you are interested in, and your message.

The property planner (on the planner page and every project page): before the PDF report downloads, we ask for your name, phone number and, if you choose, your email address. Together with them we record the project you were looking at, and a copy of the report built on the figures you set.

With either, we also note how you found us: the website or campaign that referred you (for example an advertising link), so we know which of our efforts reach people.

Your details go to our office so the right person can call you back about the project or a site visit. We use them for that purpose and for no other. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for.

The services that carry them for us:

• Google Sheets, through a Google Apps Script, holds our lead register: every enquiry and every planner download is a row there, and a planner report is filed as a PDF in our Google Drive and linked on your row.
• Web3Forms, a form delivery service, emails an enquiry from the contact form to our inbox. If it cannot be reached, the form opens the message in your own email app instead, and nothing passes through Web3Forms.
• Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics, described below.

Each of these services handles the information under its own privacy terms. Our lead register is kept for as long as we are in touch with you about a property, and you can ask us to delete your row at any time.

The site keeps a few small entries in your browser’s own storage. They stay on your device; we cannot read them from here.

• shivanand.calc.v1: once you have downloaded a planner report, that you have done so and the name you gave, so the next report downloads without asking again. It never holds your phone number or email. If a planner request fails because your connection drops, the details you entered are held here only until they go through on a later visit, and are then deleted; anything still unsent after 30 days is deleted too.
• shivanand.attribution.v1: the website or campaign that first brought you here (including any advertising click identifiers in the link), kept for 90 days so an enquiry made on a later visit still carries it.
• A flag for this browser session that you have watched the opening map film, so it does not replay on every page. It is gone when you close the browser.

Clearing your browser’s site data for this website removes all of them.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages and projects people look at. It sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id), which recognise a returning browser for up to two years, and it receives your IP address and basic details of your device and browser. Google processes this under its own privacy terms; you can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or Google’s opt-out add-on.

Our host, Vercel, also counts page views with its own analytics, which uses no cookies and records no personal details.
